Reduction of a Felony Conviction to a Misdemeanor
Felony Conviction Reduced to a Misdemeanor
Pursuant to Idaho Code §19-2604, if you successfully completed your probation without issue and you can show good cause, you may have your case retroactively reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.
While this might not completely erase all record of the case, this is a very positive result for many people. It allows the defendant to honestly say that they have not been convicted of a felony. Further, in most cases, it restores the civil rights lost due to the felony conviction. Although nothing can every be guaranteed, I have a very high success rate in these cases. It is effective means of allowing my clients the opportunity to mover forward with their career, education, and life without the felony conviction hanging over their head.
