Great Reckless Driving Result!
July 2019
Case Type: Reckless Driving
Jurisdiction: Gooding County
Earlier this month, we attained a great result for a client in Gooding County. Our client was originally charged with reckless driving--a misdemeanor that comes with a mandatory 30-day license suspension and a fine of up to $1,000--for driving 20 mph over the speed limit at night. This charge would have had a detrimental impact on his life because he drove vehicles as part of his job and could not afford to have his license suspended for 30 days. In the end, we were able to convince the prosecutor to amend the charge to a standard speeding infraction. This came with a minimal fine, allowed our client to continue through life with a criminal-free record, and had no impact on his ability to continue driving.
