Good Week Defending Idaho DUIs

I had a very good week representing clients in DUI cases. I was able to successfully argue that two DUI cases be dismissed due to insufficient evidence (Ada and Owyhee County) and was able to convince a prosecutor to reduce an Excessive DUI down to a standard First Offense DUI (Boise County).* Admittedly, these are very positive outcomes that are rarely achieved. Most DUI cases face an uphill battle when attempting to challenge the evidence or convince a prosecutor to reduce/dismiss. However, this week provides ample proof of how important it is to present a zealous defense rather than just admitting guilt. This is the reason I fight on behalf of my DUI clients - while I might not be able to achieve these results in every case, providing my clients with the best possible defense can produce positive results.

If you are charged with a DUI, make sure you have someone vigorously fighting on your behalf - you never know, you might be able to have the case reduced or dismissed.
